"I have always been a lover of the performing arts, but found a new sense of passion for performance when circus came into my life.
I took my first aerial dance class 7 years ago in Tampa, FL. I hopped around to a few studios until I found a home with the Aerial Dragons. The studio and performance troupe was still very small at the time. The classes took place in the house and backyard of the owner. I spent those beginner days learning to fly in the FL sun and learning to balance on the sandy ground.
Moving to Colorado opened up so many opportunities that allowed for me dive deeper into the circus life. We are so lucky to have so many talented performers, amazing workshops, instruction and studios. This state is truly a mecca for those in the circus community.
Denver Cirque Festival is intended to be for the community of Colorado and beyond to network, perform, share skills, expand our knowledge of practicing circus safely, and above all grow our community and its passion for the Circus Arts."
